English Trifle Recipe

It is always a bit interesting to see how people around the world interpret British recipes. This is a North American home cook (Canadian, I believe) sharing his recipe for a raspberry English trifle.

The trifle recipe is indeed very North American simply from the selection of ingredients. The Jello, in particular stands out as being a North American take on the English trifle recipe. That is fine though because all it does is show just how easy it is to adapt the basic concept of a trifle recipe.

He uses a whole bunch of fruit in his trifle recipe and even though may it might not be as traditional as the name 'English trifle' might suggest it still looks mighty tasty. It wouldn't be out of place at a family gathering or potluck as he does not use alcohol in his trifle recipe.
